The Temple believes that to be fully engaged with our world, we must travel to as much of it as possible. To that end, we sponsor a congregational trip to Israel every two years, as well as travel opportunities to other parts of the globe.
Recently, we’ve travelled to Cuba to explore the Jewish community there. Other trips have taken us to parts of Europe and elsewhere. Next year, in 2013, we’ll host our trip to Israel, which is broken down into three tracks: adults, families, and teens.
For adults, we’ve crafted a trip full of cultural sights and opportunities to dialogue with leaders around Israel. We’ll visit the artist colony of Tzefat, float in the Dead Sea, hold first-hand meeting with members of Israel’s technology sector, hear from acclaimed Israeli leader Anat Hoffman, and much more.
For families, we’ve designed a trip full of educational and bonding opportunities. We’ll delight in Israel’s archaeology and past, share services and b’nei mitzvah with each other, and visit some of the most historic locations in the Jewish state.
For teens, we’ve crafted a trip full of adventure. There will be hiking, rappelling, snorkeling, camel rides, archaeological digs, and a host of other experiences. In between, our teens will learn through first-hand experiences with their Israeli peers.
