Planned Giving

There are many ways to contribute to The Temple Endowment Fund. The Endowment Fund Initiative will provide the additional resources necessary to maintain our heavily utilized facilities and fund special program enhancements.

In addition to the good feeling of giving, a gift to the Endowment Fund is a way to leave a permanent legacy connecting you and your family to your spiritual home…The Temple.

Contributions are tax deductible and may provide opportunities in one’s estate planning which benefit the donor, their family, and The Temple.

The following are opportunities and methods to participate in The Temple’s Endowment Fund Initiative:

Establish a Named Fund

A Named Fund may be established with an initial minimum contribution of $5,000. Establishing such a Fund honors or memorializes a person or persons. Income from these funds is administered by the Endowment Fund Committee, which distributes these funds for special programs and facility enhancements.

Establish a Named Specific Purpose Fund

A Named Specific Purpose Fund may be established with an initial minimum contribution of $100,000. Establishing such a Fund in your name or in the name of someone you wish to honor or memorialize allows you to specify how the spendable portion of the fund should be used.
There are currently over 30 specific purpose funds which support a wide array of offerings and facets of Temple life. Some specific purpose funds support:

  • Worship
  • Spirituality
  • Music
  • Youth education and programs
  • Adult education
  • Libraries/media centers
  • Social action activities, such as our shelter
  • Facility maintenance, such as the sanctuary and grounds

Establish a Perpetual Annual Dues Endowment

A Perpetual Annual Dues Endowment (PADE) is a permanent fund dedicated to endowing your Temple Annual Dues gift. A PADE fund is not intended to take the place of current annual dues – instead it is lasting legacy that in perpetuity will continue to make an annual gift to The Temple on your behalf.

Make The Temple A Part of Your Estate Planning

A Charitable Bequest in your will establishes a means to create a permanent legacy. The Temple Endowment Fund has been the beneficiary of bequests, large and small. There are many Planned Giving Annuities and Trusts available today for philanthropists of all means.

Members of The Temple Endowment Fund Committee would welcome the opportunity to meet with you and your financial advisor or estate planning professional to explore ways in which you and The Temple might mutually benefit.
