Weinberg Early Learning Center

The Weinberg Early Learning Center (WELC) provides a warm, supportive, and inspiring learning environment for every child. Our teaching staff are among the most creative and dedicated early childhood educators in the city, and many of them began with us when the school first opened. The WELC is led by director Annetta Kornblum and assistant director Sarah Shinsky, who have a combined 60 years of best practices in secular, public, private, Jewish, and preschool education.

Children leave the WELC with a strong foundation of learning from both our secular and Judaic curricula. Many of our graduates choose public school, while others find their fit in a local private school.

When your child graduates from the WELC, your family will have become a part of a vibrant, diverse community, experienced child-centered learning on new levels, and participated in a nationally recognized religious educational program.

If you have questions or any interest in the WELC, we encourage you to reach out to Annetta Kornblum at 404.872.8668. We would be happy to provide you with a tour.

An Involved Clergy

The children and families at the WELC get to know our clergy team well. Our rabbis and cantor visit the classrooms often, and they share Kabbalat Shabbat with us each week on Friday at mid-day. You will be amazed at how well each of them understand and support your young child’s development.

A First Class Curriculum

The WELC blends secular and Judaic studies to provide a balanced educational environment for your child. Secular areas of focus include math, literacy, science, and the arts. Our Jewish studies curriculum provides a solid foundation in Jewish life, language, and ritual, preparing the students for future Jewish learning.

Flexible Program Offerings

In addition to a standard Half Day Program program, the WELC also offers the Extended Day Program, which provides full curriculum and activities from 7:30am to 6:00pm. Families can choose between two-day, three-day and five-day programs. To learn more about the program offerings, please visit program offerings.
