Disability Justice

The Temple's RSJI Disability Justice group works to advance collective access, equity, inclusion, and liberation for disabled people in the Atlanta area. The disability community, especially those who live at the intersections of other marginalized identities, face barriers to accessing healthcare, are institutionalized at high rates, lack economic opportunities, are disproportionately impacted by voter suppression, and more. Disability justice requires, among other things, a focus on intersectionality, cross-movement solidarity, and interdependence, and The Temple's Disability Justice group follows these guiding principles as we work toward true access and inclusion for disabled people both internal to The Temple and across the metro Atlanta area.
