The Well: Young Professionals

COME WITH SPIRIT. LEAVE WITH SOUL.

The Well, our Young Professional Shabbat Service, gathers one Friday monthly at 8 PM!

Adult Members and prospective members in their 20’s and 30’s, single or married, come together to have a good time, do social justice work, and bridge our Jewish backgrounds with personal interests. Be sure not to miss The Well, our monthly Shabbat soulful gathering.

For more information, or to introduce yourself and say Hi, please contact one of our Roshim. They’d love to meet you!

StoryWell

Since its launch on March 10th, 2016, StoryWell has presented 32 stories from our community told live at both Edgewood Speakeasy, and The Porter Beer Bar.

StoryWell aims to showcase the great range of human experience via 5 storytellers from our Temple Young Professional group. Each installment starts with a theme and the storytellers explore it, often in unexpected ways. Since each story is true and every voice authentic, the storytelling experiences dance between the profound and the humorous, creating a unique, intimate, and often an enlightening experience for our collective group. Some examples of past themes have been Jews with Tattoos, Desire, and Perseverance. If you’d like to stay in the know about future events, or to tell a story, contact Summer Jacobs at sjacobs@the-temple.org

Women Of the Well:

WOW is a place for Young Professional women who are looking to cultivate meaningful relationships with one another, and create a community through spiritual learning opportunities and social events. Past educational opportunities have been mindfully counting the Omer together through a lens of self-renewal, as well as a fun night out wine tasting at Barcelona VinoTeca. For more information, please contact Summer Jacobs at sjacobs@the-temple.org

The Backyard:

The Backyard is The Temple guys group of The Well. It’s place to get to know one another outside of The Well and make new friends. Past social opportunities have included Bourbon Tasting, and going to an Atlanta United Game.

Temple Young Professionals: Syrian Supper Club- May 8th

Join us on Wednesday, May 8th at 6:30pm for a very meaningful bread breaking. We will have a home cooked traditional Syrian meal at The Temple prepared by a mother and son team who fled from Syria in search of a better existence.

Majeda and her son Malek decided to leave Syria in 2012 because of the ongoing war and the threat to their survival. In 2016, Malek and his mom came to the United States with the assistance of the International Organization for Migration, beginning a very long process of seeking resettlement in the states.

We will have a chance to meet Malek and Majeda, enjoy their amazing food, and do what we do best-- create meaningful connections with one another.

Space is limited to 30 participants and cost is $25/pp.

People can register here: https://www.the-temple.org/event/young-professionals-syrian-supper-club-.html

All proceeds go directly to Majeda and Malek. Please RSVP to Summer Jacobs at sjacobs@the-temple.org
