11:00 AM - 11:30 PM

The Beltway Snipers were John Allen Muhammad (41), and Lee Boyd Malvo (17). The two men caused public hysteria in a Blue Chevy Caprice and made national news after they carried out a series of shootings throughout Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia over a 23-day period in 2002. One thousand officers joined the manhunt, panicking these two states and our nation’s capital. David was the commanding officer to arrest Muhammad and Malvo, and he will discuss the case’s earliest start in Atlanta and how it took up until the very end of the investigation to narrow in on the snipers. He will share aspects of the case never heard outside of the court room, and how this case forever changed the process of large scale crime investigation. Currently, David Reichenbaugh serves as a Civilian Analyst for the United States Capital Police and writes law enforcement articles for Homeland Security Today. He is the author of, In Pursuit: The Hunt for the Beltway Snipers. He is currently featured in the Vice Network documentary, I, Sniper. Zoom.
