Women's Rights Social Justice Group

With half of The Temple's membership female and a time where Women's Rights are at stake, The Women's Rights small group is a critical emphasis area for the Rothschild Institute.  We have identified three core objectives for the coming year:  Equality, Women's Health & Reproductive Rights and Advocacy.

We will focus on three main events that create a sense of purpose in the community and at The Temple: 

 1) We will organize a hands-on volunteer effort for our Temple members to help a local Atlanta women's organization.

 2) We will design and host an educational program with components of Advocacy training to raise awareness of issues facing Jewish women.

3) We will inspire our Temple community to connect as a synagogue to understand and discuss the issues facing women and the opportunities we have to take action.

Annual Period Packing Party!

We had an amazing turn out for the period pack party…. Our wish list sold out over three times!  We had great attendance with volunteers of all ages. 

We made over 1,800 packs that were distributed to shelters, and schools across the city!
