4th GRADE

Our fourth grade students participate in a Shul-under at The Temple in February. From 5:30-9:30pm on Saturday night. Participants get to know other fourth grade students and begin to feel “at home” in The Temple. There are no Sunday morning classes for fourth graders the next day.

5th GRADE

We are overjoyed to introduce a new overnight travel experience for our fifth graders this spring.  On this very special trip, fifth graders will travel to Northeast Georgia for an overnight Shabbat, social action and social trip.  Beginning with their first overnight hotel stay, fifth graders will celebrate erev Shabbat through music, games, and programming.  On Saturday morning they will wake up for a social action project in the area, and end the day at a local amusement center.  Most of all, students will get to know their classmates better, participate in creative Jewish programming, and spend time having fun.

Sixth and seventh grade students travel with Rabbi Rau and their Gesher Leaders to Whitwell and Chattanooga, TN for an overnight visit to the Paperclips Holocaust exhibit, a night out at an amusement center, and a Zipling adventure or to Birmingham, Alabama to explore the civil rights movement in the South, an amusement center, and an outdoor experience (alternating years).
