ROTHSCHILD SOCIAL JUSTICE INSTITUTE

The Temple heeds the prophetic call for tikkun olam through the Rothschild Social Justice Institute. Named in honor of The Temple’s esteemed Civil Rights leader Rabbi Jacob M. Rothschild, the Rothschild Institute seeks to affect positive change on the local level and beyond concerning eleven broad societal issues of our time.

We welcome your involvement and inquiries!  Contact RSJI Chair Susan Gordon or Temple Vice President Louis Lettes.

RSJI RECENT EVENTS

On Saturday, May 8, a group of Temple members volunteered with the Urban Farm Work Crew at the Historic Westside Gardens.  In less than 3 hours, our volunteers completely transformed the space by removing weeds, tending to existing plants, and adding new items.  This garden unites neighbors to grow fresh, healthy food close to home and is a wonderful asset to the community.

What's next for the RSJI Environment/Climate Change Group?

We will continue to schedule hands-on events with the Urban Farm Work Crew. To learn more, please contact Ruth Menter.
