Support The Temple

In every way, The Temple relies on the support of our members and those in our community. We owe our very existence to those first families who came together and pooled their resources to ensure essential Jewish services would be available to them. That was true a century and a half ago and it remains true today. The vote of confidence our members make in The Temple through their support and involvement takes many forms. We encourage you to avail yourself of whichever method of support is most comfortable for you.

Charitable giving is an important part of Jewish life, an obligation we all share. Every gift to The Temple affirms this value for you while enhancing the quality of our programs for everyone else. Truly make a difference in our community by making a donation. Our online donation form makes giving easy, and you can earmark your gift to one of The Temple’s many funds. If you’d like to make a larger contribution or would like to create a new fund, please contact Mark Jacobson, Executive Director, at 404-873-1731.

The work of The Temple is extensive and diverse. Even with our professional staff and clergy, it would not be possible to deliver on these initiatives without the assistance of committed volunteers. These individuals participate in Temple life by serving as ushers at services or docents for visitors. They serve on committees or deliver soup to sick neighbors.

It’s impossible to put a dollar amount on the value of these contributions. The gift of time, it has been said, is the greatest gift of all. We encourage you to join the ranks of those volunteers who’ve given so much of their time to their Temple family.

One of the most important ways to support The Temple, and the many individuals in our community, is to become a member of our congregation. Members receive a number of benefits in exchange for their support. They also receive the peace of mind in knowing they’ve helped to ensure vital Jewish services are available to anyone in our community who needs them. For almost 150 years, The Temple has existed because individuals like you have bought in, literally, to our mission of serving the Jewish community. We encourage you to become part of that history and to help build The Temple’s future. To join The Temple or for more information about belonging to The Temple, email Mark Jacobson, Executive Director, or call him at 404-873-1731.

Mishkan Hanefesh has been created by the Central Conference of American Rabbis. Your donation of $54.00 will include a personalized nameplate recognizing your honoree in each of the two volumes. The Temple needs 1,300 sets of books for our High Holy Day worship services. Please help us reach our goal while commemorating a special person or life-cycle event.
