Join us as we speak with attorney and politician, Roi Barzilai, the deputy mayor of Ramat Gan, the Buckhead of Tel Aviv. We will explore Israeli politics, religious-secular tensions, and an assessment of the near-term future for Israel from someone whose parents came from Iraq and who was raised in the labor
movement’s youth groups. His unique perspective will bring both realism and hope to our understanding of Israel today.

Dancer and choreographer, Yankalle Filtzer, invites viewers into the creative world of movement and expression. Yankalle, who was born a Chasidic Jew, choreographs work that bridges cultures and disciplines. In this online session, Yankalle will share his personal and artistic journey, revealing how lived experience becomes the material for creation. Through intimate storytelling and the presentation of selected dance works, the conversation traces the delicate connection between biography and the act of creation. He will bring the range of Israeli dance, from Chasidic to modern, into view and share his perspective on art and culture in Israel today.
