Join us for a special screening of One Day in October—a compelling series based on harrowing true stories of survival and resilience on October 7, 2023.
One Day in October is co-produced by FOX Entertainment Studios in partnership with Israel’s yes TV and in association with Moriah Media, the storytelling arm of the Simon Wiesenthal Center.
The first scripted depiction of that fateful day, this 7-episode anthology series transcends politics, nationality, and religion to highlight universal narratives of love, loss, courage and survival during a time of extreme peril.
Followed by an in-depth conversation moderated by Rabbi Peter Berg with Sabine Taasa, Oct. 7 survivor and subject of "My Light"; Daniel Finkelman, One Day in October creator and producer; and Chaya Amor, series producer.
Episode Description
Sabine Taasa’s world shatters as her husband and eldest son are murdered by terrorists. Determined to save her remaining children, Sabine fights with unwavering courage. This episode, dedicated to the memory of Or and Gil Taasa, highlights her fierce struggle and the heartbreaking sacrifices made in the face of terror.

Daniel Finkelman, Series Creator and Producer
Daniel Finkelman is a director, producer, and founder of Sparks Go, as well as the COO of Kinolime, a screenwriter-driven production startup. In addition to producing, creating and directing One Day in October, Daniel's producing credits include Menashe, The Vigil, The Performance, and the upcoming films Tin Soldier and Our House is On Fire.
Sabine Taasa, October 7 Survivor and Subject of "My Light"
Sabine Taasa’s life was forever changed when terrorists murdered her husband and eldest son on October 7, 2023. Determined to protect her surviving children, Sabine showed extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable loss. Since that tragic day, Sabine has become a powerful and unwavering global voice. Her mission is twofold: to raise her boys with strength and hope, and to ensure the world never forgets what happened on 10/7. Sabine has carried this message to the global stage, speaking at the United Nations, the European Parliament, and beyond.
