Past SessionsSunday, March 26, 2023 • 4 Nisan 5783 - 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM - Halpern Conference Room
Sunday, March 19, 2023 • 26 Adar 5783 - 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM - Halpern Conference Room
Israel is going through what many consider the biggest constitutional crisis since its founding. The government is leading a judicial overhaul that will dramatically change the core definitions of Israel as a democracy. For 11 weeks now hundreds of thousands of Israelis have been protesting on a daily basis against the government’s plan and its vision all across the country and abroad. Join us for a conversation about the judicial overhaul, what it means for Israel, and for us as American Jews. The conversation will be led by Dotan Zebrowitz Harpak, a Temple member and BEC parent. Dotan is a native Israeli, Atlanta based political organizer, and one of the leaders of the weekly Israeli-led protests against the judiciary overhaul outside the Israeli consulate in Atlanta. If you have questions, please email Rabbi Lapidus.
