The Temple's own Paige Alexander serves as chief executive officer of The Carter Center. Alexander took the helm in 2020. Since that time, she has strengthened its core peace and health programs and led the organization in new directions, including adding programs to address: the global mental health crisis; political polarization in the US; and the impact of climate change on global peace and public health. She is the recipient of several awards, including the Atlanta Business Chronicle's “Most Admired CEO" and one of Georgia Trend Magazine’s “100 Most Influential Leaders.” Alexander will share her perspective and work on global peace with a particular emphasis on the Middle East.
